Winter Festivities in Grand Rapids 2023
Is the cold, grey weather getting you down? Do you find yourself not coming up with anything to do? Well bundle up, grab your family and friends, and come enjoy some of the great activities Grand Rapids has to offer!
1. Winter fun at the Indian Trails
Bundle up and enjoy the outdoors at Indian Trails. With day or season passes, you can enjoy fat tire biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing up until March 1. The clubhouse will have cold beer, hot chocolate, coffee, and a warm fire to relax by.
2. Grand Rapids Griffins
Van Andel Arena is home to the Grand Rapids Griffins, American Hockey League affiliates to the Detroit Red Wings. Enjoy a night of fun and hockey!
3. Rosa Parks Circle
Rosa Parks ice rink is one of Grand Rapids’ treasured winter destinations. The 2022-23 season begins on December 1 and ends on February 26.
4. Attend a Concert
Grand Rapids has plenty of concert venues: The Van Andel Arena, 20 Monroe Live, The Intersection, and the Pyramid Scheme to name a few!
5. Meijer State Games of Michigan Winter Games
The Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that welcomes athletes regardless of age or ability. It takes place February 18 through February 20. Click here for more information.
6. Grand Rapids Gold
The Grand Rapids Gold is the NBA G league team affiliated with the Denver Nuggets. Their home games are played at the Van Andel Arena and continue through March. For more information about the team’s schedule and tickets, visit their website.
