Spring Festivities in Grand Rapids

 

Spring is here! Put those winter coats back in the closet, and head out to enjoy some fun festivities going on right here in Grand Rapids!

 

1. West Michigan Whitecaps Opening Night

Whitecaps baseball is back for the 2022 season! The first game is on April 12 at LMCU Ballpark. Get your tickets here.

 

2. West Michigan Art Competition

The 36th annual LowellArts West Michigan Art Competition features artwork created by West Michigan artists.  Admission is free and the competition runs from April 12 through April 16! For more information, visit their website. 

 

3. Kid Rock Concert

Kid Rock will bring his “Bad Reputation Tour” to the Van Andel Arena on April 16. The concert starts at 7:30 and will include several special guests. Get your tickets here!

 

4. Bridge Street Walking Tour

This tour will sample some of the finest beers in Grand Rapids and share some intriguing history of the Grand Rapids beer culture. The tour begins at noon on April 30 and goes until 3pm. Click here for more information!

 

5. Battle Bots – Improv Comedy Show

Come out to enjoy this high-energy improv comedy show! It takes place at the Comedy Project each Friday night in April and May! Show starts at 10pm and goes until 11pm. Click here for more information!

 

6. Brooks & Dunn Concert

Brooks & Dunn bring their 2022 Reboot Tour to the Van Andel Arena on Friday, May 6. Concert starts at 7 pm featuring Jon Pardi and Tyler Booth! Grab your tickets here!

 

7. Tulip Time Run 2022

Experience the beauty and colors of Holland as you run through the streets lined with Tulips! It takes place on May 7 starting at 8 am and offers events for everyone – 5k, 10k, and a kids’ fun run! Click here for more information.

 

8. Stars On Ice

Come out to the Van Andel Arena on May 13 at 7:30 to see the best of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team straight from the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, China. Click here to buy your tickets!

 

9. Amway River Bank Run 2022

Come out to enjoy the largest 25K in the country on May 14! There are several other races such as 25K wheelchair, 25K relay, 10K, 5K, and 5K walk! Click here for more information!

 

10. Country Night at the Grand
